Ikram Lakhani
Mr. Ikram Lakhani is finance professional, having gained more than 40 years of experience in telecommunications and computer industries. He has held a full range of finance management roles at Nortel, Alltel, Sony Electronics, and Tandem (acquired by Compaq Computers) and most recently NeoPhotonics. He has had international work experience in England, Canada and the United States. Mr. Lakhani is a Certified Accountant from United Kingdom and holds an MBA degree from Pepperdine University.
Mr. Lakhani started his Finance Career with Staple Group in Insurance Industry in 1973 in London, England. Since then he has held many financial management positions (19 years in Nortel) with increasing responsibilities in all areas of Accounting and Manufacturing Finance.
In 2000, Mr. Lakhani joined NeoPhotonics, a startup, as Corporate Controller where he was responsible for Finance / Accounting. In 2006 he was promoted to the position of VP Finance where he was responsible for financial planning and analysis. Since 2006, he has supported the CEO in two divestures and six acquisitions, related financial integration and audits. He also supported the IPO process leading up to NeoPhotonics becoming a public company two year ago.
